Overview

The open-loop hall effect current sensor offers accurate, isolated current measurement across a broad range from 0 to 20000A. With 1.0% F.S. accuracy, wide bandwidth from 0 to 20kHz, and a fast response time of ≤5μs, hall effect current sensor delivers reliable performance in both AC and DC applications. Featuring an open-loop design and standard output signals (0-5V AC/DC, 0-±5VDC), it operates on a ±15VDC power supply and integrates easily with PLCs, DSPs, AD converters, and monitoring systems. Multiple aperture options (64×16, 82×32, 104×36, 132×52 mm) support diverse conductor sizes. With strong resistance to interference and overload, it is ideal for substations, solar power systems, inverters, UPS, battery storage, welding, plating, and industrial motor drives.

FAQ
  • When the output is 4-20mA or 0-5V/10V signal, it can be directly connected to conventional PLC, transmitter or analog acquisition card.
  • Smart Hall current sensors with RS485/Modbus output can be connected to energy management systems, industrial configuration software or remote monitoring platforms to realize real-time communication, data upload and remote diagnosis.
  • Hall sensor: suitable for high voltage, high isolation requirements, support DC and AC measurement, easy to install but slightly higher cost.
  • Shunt: Cheap, suitable for low voltage systems, but need to be connected in series, there is a voltage drop, not suitable for high voltage or isolation requirements. The choice depends on your system voltage, safety requirements, installation space and budget.
