When installing the sensor, prevent it from colliding with walls or other hydraulic structures due to water flow. If the current is strong, secure the sensor in place. Install the sensor no more than 2 meters below the water surface. To account for water level fluctuations, submerge the sensor at least 30 cm below the lowest possible water level.

Position the sensor in the water where no air bubbles are present. Install a cable protector over the sensor cable and secure the sensor as shown in the diagram above. Secure it firmly and position the sensor horizontally as shown in the diagram below.

    FAQ

Many substances suspended in water absorb or block visible light, reducing the water's transparency. Therefore, water transparency can be calculated by measuring the light absorption of substances in the water. Transparency sensors are designed based on this principle. When immersed in the liquid being tested, the sensor reads and measures the liquid's absorbance of light at specific wavelengths. Through specific curve fitting and calculations, it ultimately determines the transparency data.

Transparency sensors are widely used in drinking water treatment, wastewater treatment plants, river and lake monitoring, aquaculture, and industrial circulating water systems. They provide real-time feedback on water quality changes.

It supports RS485 interfaces and Modbus protocol, enabling connection to PLCs, data loggers, or monitoring systems for remote monitoring and automated management.
