    Usage Cases

Long distance color sensor usage case

    1. Presence of Hand-Engraved Markings: Residual characters or unstable hand-engraved markings caused by fluctuations can be reliably detected by adding tuning via Master.
    2. Component Assembly Verification: Assembly confirmation with minimal height differences can be accurately detected based on color changes.
    3. Adhesive Detection: Presence of liquids with minimal light intensity variation can be precisely detected through color changes.
    4. Detection of Conveyor Box Color: Short-term stoppages caused by aging, contamination, or individual variations can be mitigated by adding tuning using the Master.
    5. Thin Sheet Presence: Thin workpieces can be stably detected and are less susceptible to displacement.
    6. Metal Color Discrimination: Workpieces with minimal light intensity differences, such as gold and silver, can be accurately detected.

    FAQ

Long-distance color sensors are commonly used in industrial production lines, logistics inspection, and printing/packaging scenarios. Color sensors can identify different colors or color marks at extended detection ranges, making them suitable for target detection in high-speed transmission environments. For instance, product sorting on packaging assembly lines, color mark recognition in printed materials, and color monitoring of textile fabrics all rely on such sensors. Compared to short-distance sensors, they better handle complex operating conditions while ensuring detection accuracy and stability.

Compared to standard color sensors, long-distance models offer significant advantages in detection range, light source power, and interference resistance. Standard sensors are suitable for close-range detection around 10mm, while long-range products enable stable recognition at distances of tens to hundreds of millimeters. Additionally, they typically feature high-brightness light sources and more sensitive receivers, maintaining accurate detection in complex lighting or vibrating environments. The long-distance color sensors broader applicability makes them particularly suitable for industrial automation scenarios.

To guarantee stable detection with long distance color sensors, pay close attention to installation positioning and environmental conditions. First, ensure the sensor remains within the recommended detection distance from the target object and avoid excessive angular deviation. Second, regularly clean the lens to prevent dust or oil residue from affecting optical recognition. Additionally, select models featuring automatic calibration or sensitivity adjustment capabilities to adapt to targets of varying materials and colors. Proper power and signal wiring also minimizes interference, ensuring long-term reliable operation.
