Flow Voltage Output Curve

Flow voltage output curve

Mini mass airflow sensor analog voltage output, with the voltage-to-flow correspondence as follows:

Calculation formula: X = Voltage (V) Y = Liters per minute (slm)

Voltage to flow conversion:

  • Forward: If output voltage is greater than or equal to 3V and less than or equal to 4.5V, use this formula: Y = X/2.5
  • Otherwise use this formula: Y = (X - 4.5) * 4.8 + 0.6

Reverse Mode:

  • If the output voltage is greater than or equal to 1.5V and less than or equal to 3V, use this formula: Y = X / 2.5
  • Otherwise use this formula: Y = (X - 1.5) * 4.8 - 0.6

FAQ

A mini mass air flow sensor is a device used to precisely measure the mass flow rate of low-flow air or gases. Unlike volumetric flow measurement, it directly measures based on gas mass, unaffected by temperature and pressure variations. This makes it particularly suitable for applications involving minute airflows, precision control, and laboratory-grade use.

Mass air flow sensors are widely used in medical devices, ventilators, laboratory instruments, combustion control, gas analysis systems, and ventilation monitoring for precision electronic equipment. They are especially suitable for systems requiring low flow rates, high accuracy, and rapid response.

Its core strengths include high sensitivity, rapid response, excellent repeatability, and the ability to deliver accurate results without additional temperature/pressure compensation. It also features a compact size and low power consumption, facilitating integration into compact devices or embedded systems.
