Overview

This split-type ultrasonic water level sensor provides non-contact, high-precision measurement with selectable ranges of 5 m, 10 m, or 15 m for liquid and solid level measurement. With automatic temperature compensation, fast response, and a built-in self-diagnostic system featuring error codes, this contactless liquid level transmitter ensures stable and accurate performance in demanding industrial conditions. Its robust construction, isolated outputs, and intuitive interface make installation and maintenance simple while delivering reliable long-term operation.

Feature

  • Automatic temperature compensation: The non-contact liquid level sensor dynamically compensates for ambient temperature variations by correcting the ultrasonic sound velocity, ensuring consistent and accurate measurement results.
  • Adaptive intelligent probe: The ultrasonic level sensor employs multi-point ultrasonic emission technology to minimize measurement deviations caused by single-point signal transmission.
  • High resolution and rapid response: The ultrasonic level sensor delivers a measurement resolution of up to 3 mm with a response time as fast as 2 seconds, enabling precise and timely level detection.
  • Integrated self-diagnostic capability: The ultrasonic level transmitter features an internal self-diagnostic function with clear error code indication, facilitating fast fault identification and maintenance.
  • Intuitive user interface: The ultrasonic level sensor is equipped with a high-definition LCD and a four-key touch control panel, supporting both Chinese and English menu operation.
  • Rugged industrial design: It is designed with IP65 protection for the transmitter and IP68 protection for the probe, ensuring stable and reliable operation in harsh industrial environments.

FAQ

A split-type non-contact ultrasonic level sensor transmits ultrasonic signals to the surface of the measured medium via a probe. When the ultrasonic waves encounter the liquid surface, they are reflected, and the reflected echo is received by the probe. The controller calculates the distance from the sensor to the liquid surface based on the time difference between the transmission and reception of the ultrasonic waves, combined with the speed of sound, thereby calculating the water level height. Because it uses a non-contact measurement method, the sensor does not need to be in direct contact with the liquid, avoiding problems such as corrosion, scaling, and contamination, making it particularly suitable for long-term continuous monitoring.

A split-type ultrasonic level sensor separates the probe from the display/control unit. The probe can be installed in humid, high-temperature, or dusty environments, while the controller can be installed in a relatively safe and easily accessible location. This design not only improves the system's environmental adaptability but also facilitates parameter setting, data display, and subsequent maintenance for the user. Furthermore, in environments with strong interference or complex working conditions, the split-type structure is more conducive to improving overall stability and service life.

A split-type ultrasonic level sensor is primarily used for water level and liquid level measurement, suitable for applications such as clean water, wastewater, industrial wastewater, rivers, pools, tanks, and wells. Under certain conditions, it can also be used for measuring the level of liquids with small particles and relatively stable surfaces, or some solid materials. However, for environments with excessive foam, violently fluctuating liquid surfaces, or strong steam, proper selection and installation are necessary to ensure measurement accuracy.
