A human pyroelectric IR sensor is a passive infrared sensor used to detect the movement of a heat source, such as a human body, in a monitored area. It senses based on changes in infrared radiation emitted by an object. Feature

• Fully automatic sensing: When a person enters its sensing range, it outputs a high level. When a person leaves the sensing range, it automatically delays the high level and outputs a low level.
• Two trigger modes (jumper selectable):
  A. Non-repeatable trigger mode: After the sensing output is high, the delay time to the end of the output will automatically change from high level to low level.
  B. Repeatable trigger mode: that is, after the induction output is high, if there is a human body activity in its sensing range during the delay time period, its output will remain high until the person leaves and then delay the high level to low level (the induction module will automatically extend a delay time period after detecting each human activity and the time of the last activity is the starting point of the delay time).
• With induction blocking time: The induction module can set a blocking time period immediately after each induction output (high level becomes low level), and the sensor does not receive any induction signal during this time period. This function can realize the interval work of "induction output time" and "blocking time", which can be applied to interval detection products. At the same time, this function can effectively suppress various interferences generated during load switching.
• Wide operating voltage range: Default operating voltage DC 5V-12V.
• Micro power consumption: Static current <200 microamperes.
• Output high and low level signals/NPN/relay output: Can be easily connected with various circuits.
• Self-adjustable: The induction delay output time is adjustable (about 5-300 seconds), and the induction distance is adjustable (within 7 meters).

Installation

• After the sensor is powered on, there is an initialization time of about one minute. During this period, the module will output 0-3 times at intervals and enter the normal standby state after one minute.
• Avoid direct exposure of interference sources, such as lights to the lens on the surface of the module at close range during installation to avoid introducing interference signals and causing false operation. Avoid flowing wind in the use environment as much as possible, as wind will also interfere with the sensor.
• Pay attention to the direction angle during installation, otherwise it will affect the sensing distance. The sensing window of the sensor should be parallel to the direction where the human body moves most, so as to achieve a better sensing effect.
• During use, when the ambient temperature rises and approaches the surface temperature of the human body (30~32℃), the detection distance will be slightly shorter. This is a result of the influence of temperature factors.
