Overview

Reasonably priced active infrared sensor, with indoor/outdoor types to choose from. The input voltage of the active infrared sensor is 5V~24V DC, the load current is less than 3A, the sensing angle is 30~40° cone angle, and the output mode is NPN, relay NO/NC and high and low level signal optional.   1. Power on the sensor to work properly.
  2. Place the light shield and confirm the distance.
  3. Open the sensor back cover.
  4. Press and hold the adjustment button.
  5. Wait for the indicator LED to flash quickly.
  6. The sensor enters the automatic distance adjustment mode.
  7. The LED keeps flashing, and the distance is being adjusted. Do not move the baffle.
  8. The LED indicator stops flashing and the distance adjustment is completed.

Installation Method

Drill a hole in the panel where the sensor needs to be installed. The hole diameter is 28mm. Install the sensor into the hole from the front of the panel and tighten the nut behind the sensor.

The active infrared sensor detects objects by emitting infrared light and receiving reflected signals, while the passive infrared sensor only receives infrared radiation emitted by objects in the environment and does not actively emit. Active type is suitable for close-range precision detection and has strong anti-interference ability.

The Active infrared sensor can detect transparent or black objects, but the detection effect depends on the reflectivity of the object. For low reflectivity objects, it is necessary to adjust the sensor sensitivity or use a reflective plate to assist in improving accuracy.
