    User Guide

    1. NO represents normally open, NC represents normally closed.
    2. NPN: Common positive voltage, outputting negative voltage. PNP represents common negative voltage, outputting positive voltage.
    3. NPN NO: Normally open, when an object is detected, the black wire outputs a negative voltage signal.
    4. NPN NC: A normally closed state where the black wire outputs a negative voltage signal. When an object is detected, the output signal is interrupted.
    5. PNP NO: Represents a normally open state where the black wire outputs a positive voltage signal when an object is detected.
    6. PNP NC: A normally closed state where the black wire outputs a positive voltage signal. When an object is detected, the output signal is interrupted.

    FAQ

The M18 photoelectric sensor is a standard cylindrical photoelectric detector with an outer diameter of 18mm. It is widely used in automated production lines, logistics equipment, packaging machinery, and material counting applications. It detects the presence of objects by emitting a light beam and monitoring whether the beam is blocked, reflected, or transmitted.

The M18 photo sensor emits visible or infrared light via an emitter and detects changes in light intensity through a receiver to identify objects. When an object enters the light path, it causes obstruction, reflection, or refraction, resulting in intensity changes at the receiver that trigger an output signal.

When installing the M18 photo sensor, first verify that the detection method and distance meet actual requirements, and ensure the sensor's field of view remains unobstructed. Use standard M18 nuts to secure the sensor, avoiding excessive tightening that could deform the housing. During wiring, distinguish between NPN/PNP output types, ensure correct power polarity, and install necessary short-circuit and overload protection.
