FAQ

A tuning fork level switch determines the liquid level by detecting changes in the vibration frequency of a tuning fork in air and a medium. When the tuning fork is covered by liquid or solid, the vibration frequency decreases, and the electronic circuit outputs a switching signal to achieve liquid level alarm, control, or interlock protection.

They can be used for media such as water, oil, chemical liquids, foaming liquids, slurries, powders, and granules. Because they are not affected by the dielectric constant, they are highly versatile and especially suitable for applications where capacitive, float, or conductive level switches cannot be used.

The main difference lies in the detection principle: capacitive level switches are affected by the dielectric constant and require calibration; tuning fork level switches do not depend on the dielectric constant, have stronger adaptability, and are more resistant to foam, steam, and fluctuation interference.
