    FAQ

An ultrasonic anemometer is a sensor that measures wind speed and direction using ultrasonic waves instead of mechanical rotating parts.

It measures wind by detecting the time difference of ultrasonic signals sent and received between multiple probes. Airflow changes the speed of sound, allowing calculation of wind speed and direction.

Unlike mechanical anemometers, ultrasonic models have no moving parts, which means higher durability, no wear and tear, and almost no maintenance. They also respond faster to wind changes.
