FAQ

The power supply is typically DC 12–24V. Digital communication types require a stable power supply and good grounding. If the equipment is used outdoors or on ships, surge protection should be installed to prevent damage from lightning strikes. Excessive power supply ripple can also affect measurement stability; therefore, an industrial-grade power supply is recommended.

Top-mounted probe-type capacitive level sensors typically require being as vertical as possible to obtain the most stable level signal. Side-mounted types need to be kept horizontal or slightly tilted downwards to avoid media accumulation. Significant deviations in the installation angle may affect measurement linearity and calibration, but will not cause complete failure. Choosing a flexible probe can accommodate slight angle errors.

Common outputs include 4–20mA, 0–10V, 0–5V, resistive, RS485 (Modbus), RS232, and switch signals. In industrial settings, 4–20mA is most commonly used due to its strong anti-interference capabilities and long transmission distance. For remote communication or multi-point connections, RS485 digital output is optional. Different outputs are suitable for different PLCs and control systems.
