Overview

This capacitive fuel level sensor uses a coaxial electrode structure, where changes in liquid level cause variations in capacitance. This capacitance type level transmitter provides standard 4-20mA, 0-5VDC, or 0-10VDC outputs and supports 9~30VDC, 15~30VDC power supply and direct wire or M12 connector connection options. With IP65 protection and a wide measuring range, it is suitable for monitoring diesel, hydraulic oil, and other conductive liquids.

Feature

  • The capacitive fuel level sensor provides accurate and stable linear output.
  • This capacitance liquid level sensor features strong anti-interference and vibration-resistant performance.
  • Built with surge protection, over-current protection, and reverse-polarity circuit design.
  • It is suitable for measuring various non-conductive liquids such as diesel and hydraulic oil.

FAQ

The typical accuracy of a capacitive level sensor is between 1% and 3%, with some reaching 0.5% or higher. Accuracy is affected by dielectric constant, installation method, container material, and temperature changes. For applications requiring high accuracy, full-tank and empty-tank calibration is recommended, as is selecting a digital output model.

The normal lifespan is typically 5–10 years, depending on the material, temperature, corrosion, and installation environment. The electronic components have the longest lifespan, while the probe and seals may require periodic inspection due to wear or corrosion. Choosing corrosion-resistant materials can significantly extend the lifespan.

Yes, but the level sensor's mechanical structure must be able to withstand the internal pressure of the tank. The probe itself is usually pressure-resistant, but the electronic compartment should not be directly exposed to the high-pressure environment; therefore, it is often isolated from the container via flanges or sealed joints. When installing on high-pressure vessels, it is recommended to choose a model with a clearly defined pressure rating and explosion-proof certification, and ensure a reliable seal at the mounting port to prevent leakage.
