Maintenance is minimal, which is one of their advantages. Main tasks include periodically wiping the probe, checking seals, and ensuring secure wiring. For wastewater, viscous liquids, or powder storage, simply clean any build-up. The electronic components require almost no maintenance; just ensure the waterproof housing remains intact.

Most capacitive probes have strong vibration resistance and are suitable for installation in mixing tanks, mechanical equipment, or marine environments. For areas with significant vibration, flexible probes or structures with support frames can be selected to prevent probe bending or resonance. For applications with severe vibration, shock absorbers can be added to increase stability.

Long cables introduce capacitance, which may affect measurement accuracy. Therefore, it is recommended to choose the original manufacturer's cable and avoid extending the probe cable yourself. The impact is minimal for 4–20mA signals, but significant for the capacitor leads themselves. If long-distance wiring is necessary, shielded cables with proper grounding must be used.
