FAQ

A capacitive level sensor measures liquid level by utilizing the principle of capacitance change between electrodes. When the liquid level rises or falls, the dielectric constant changes, causing a corresponding change in capacitance. The sensor's internal circuitry converts this capacitance change into a readable current, voltage, or digital signal, which is then output to the control system. This technology is suitable for various conductive and non-conductive media, offering high sensitivity and fast response.

Capacitive level sensors are suitable for liquids, powders, particles, and even some viscous media. Commonly measured media include water, oils, chemical solutions, food slurries, plastic granules, cement powder, and feed. As long as the medium has a certain change in dielectric constant, it can be detected. For corrosive liquids, PTFE, PVDF, or stainless steel probes can be selected to improve lifespan.

Yes, but a high-temperature resistant level sensor must be selected. Standard capacitive level sensors generally support -20~80℃, while high-temperature models can reach 200℃ or higher. The probe can be made of PTFE, ceramic, or stainless steel. In high-temperature applications, attention should be paid to temperature drift compensation and the installation location should be kept away from heat sources to ensure that the sensor's electronic components do not overheat.
