FAQ

Yes. The module is designed with hard-iron and soft-iron calibration functions, as well as tilt compensation, enabling accurate heading even when the sensor is tilted or exposed to local magnetic distortions.

For best performance, the compass should be mounted horizontally by default. If installed vertically, the connector should be directed downward to ensure roll and pitch outputs are zero. Users should also avoid installing the module near strong magnetic sources to reduce interference.

Electronic compass modules provide precise heading information in environments without satellite signals, such as indoors, underground, dense forests, or canyon areas. When used in conjunction with GPS, they also enhance the overall stability and reliability of navigation systems.
