Installation Precautions:

Since the azimuth angle of a 3D electronic compass is based on the geomagnetic principle, it is important to select an installation location with minimal magnetic interference. Keep the device as far as possible from iron objects, magnets, engines, or other magnetic materials. Even if such magnetic sources are present nearby, ensure a minimum clearance of at least 30 cm (the required distance may vary depending on the strength of the magnetic field). To achieve the best measurement performance, it is recommended to use M3 anti-interference screws during installation.

FAQ

Yes. It is commonly integrated with GPS receivers, inertial measurement units (IMUs), and autopilot systems to enhance navigation accuracy, especially in applications where GPS signals are weak or unavailable.

Yes. It integrates a 3-axis accelerometer and a 3-axis magnetometer, allowing real-time compensation for heading errors when the device is tilted or in motion.

The sensor uses soft and hard iron calibration algorithms to minimize the impact of surrounding magnetic disturbances. However, in environments with strong electromagnetic fields, it is recommended to avoid interference sources or apply additional filtering and calibration.
