    Overview

Laser dust particle sensor is a digital particle detection sensor designed based on the principle of laser scattering, which can detect particle concentration in real time. SUCH laser dust particle matter sensor can test particle size ranges from 0.3μm to 10μm, can provide a variety of different digital output interfaces, and has a power-on self-calibration function. It has good stability, a small size, easy to integrate.

    Feature

    • Accurate measurement based on the principle of laser scattering, with a minimum resolution particle size of 0.3μm.
    • All-metal shielding shell, stronger anti-interference performance, suitable for most situations.
    • The laser PM sensor is small in size and compact in size, and can be used in small spaces.

    Working Principle

The laser particle matter sensor includes a laser light source and a photodetector, which collects scattered light intensity in real time. When air containing particles flows through the sensor duct, the particles in the air in the duct cause laser scattering, and the photoelectric element collects the change in the scattered light intensity. The subsequent acquisition circuit calculates the equivalent particle size of the particles and the number of particles of different sizes per unit volume based on the MIE theory.

    FAQ

A laser PM sensor is a sensor that uses the principle of laser scattering to detect the concentration of suspended particles in the air (such as PM1.0, PM2.5, and PM10).

Laser PM sensors usually exist in the form of modules and can be connected to a microcontroller through a serial port (UART), I²C, or SPI interface. When installing, pay attention to keeping the air intake unobstructed, avoid being close to air vents, oil smoke, or high humidity areas, fix the sensor in a well-ventilated position, and ensure regular cleaning to avoid errors caused by dust blockage.

Laser PM sensors are widely used in indoor air quality monitoring equipment, environmental monitoring stations, industrial workshop dust monitoring, and other occasions. It is suitable for environments with high requirements for air particle detection accuracy, especially in real-time monitoring and intelligent control systems.
