FAQ

A static torque sensor measures the reaction torque on a non-rotating shaft or stationary component; it does not rotate with the shaft. A dynamic torque sensor measures the torque on a rotating shaft and can output a signal in real time during high-speed rotation, making it suitable for dynamic systems such as motors and transmissions.

Static torque transducers should be calibrated periodically or recalibrated after prolonged use, overload, or impact. Calibration should be performed using a standard torque device, adjusting the output under known torque conditions to ensure accurate measurements.

  • Non-contact torque sensor: The input shaft and output shaft of the non-contact torque sensor are connected through a torsion bar. The torque action causes the torsion bar to torsion, and the relative position change of the spline and the keyway leads to a change in the magnetic field strength, which is converted into a voltage signal by the coil to realize the torque measurement.
  • Strain gauge torque sensor: Strain gauges are pasted on the elastic shaft of the strain gauge torque sensor to form a bridge. The torque causes the shaft to deform slightly, and the change in resistance of the bridge generates an electrical signal, thus measuring the torque.
  • Phase difference torque sensor: The phase difference torque sensor is a kind of torque angle phase difference sensor. The same gears and proximity sensors are installed at both ends of the elastic shaft. The phase difference between the two sets of signals occurs when the shaft rotates, and the torque value is obtained by calculating the phase difference.
