No. Ultrasonic liquid level sensors use non-contact measurement. They are installed above the liquid and calculate the liquid level height by transmitting and receiving ultrasonic signals, avoiding problems such as corrosion, scaling, clogging, and high maintenance costs associated with sensors in contact with the liquid.

The impact is minimal within the normal fluctuation range. Most ultrasonic liquid level sensors have built-in filtering and averaging algorithms that can effectively suppress interference caused by surface fluctuations. However, if the liquid surface is violently turbulent, heavily foaming, or contains a large amount of steam, the measurement stability may be affected, and the installation location and measurement range need to be carefully selected.

It is suitable within a certain range, but the blind zone issue needs to be considered. Each ultrasonic liquid level sensor has a minimum measurement distance (blind zone). If the liquid level is below the blind zone, accurate measurement is not possible. Therefore, in shallow water or small container applications, a model with a smaller blind zone should be selected.
