This vibrating rod level switch provides reliable point-level detection for powders, granules, bulk solids, and liquids. It operates with optional 220V AC or 24V DC power, features a 250V AC/30V DC 5A SPDT contact capacity, and consumes only 2.5W. The level sensor is widely used in tanks, silos, and containers for level measurement.

Note*:

  • Ensure the junction box outlet faces downward during installation, and firmly secure the cable gland to prevent rainwater from entering and damaging internal components.
  • When installing multiple sensing rods, keep a minimum spacing of 300 mm between each switch to avoid interference.
  • Do not position the vibrating rod level switch near the feed inlet to minimize impact forces. If it must be placed close to the inlet, mount a protective plate about 200 mm above the sensor.
  • An angled mounting method is recommended. Tilting the sensing rod downward at roughly 20 degrees from horizontal enhances sensitivity and reduces damage from falling materials.
  • The probe inside the silo must not be used as a step or bent in any way.
  • For cleaning, wash with water and use a soft brush. Avoid striking or hitting the device.
  • For high-viscosity materials, install the switch vertically from the top or position it at a 20-degree angle from the container wall.

A vibrating rod level switch detects liquid level using a vibrating probe. When liquid covers the probe, the vibration frequency changes. The internal circuit detects this change and outputs a signal to achieve liquid level alarm or control functions.

A vibrating rod level switch is suitable for liquids, slurries, and lightly granular materials. For high-viscosity, bubble-containing, or easily crystallizing media, a specific model or a vibrating rod level switch with anti-crystallization design should be selected.

During installation, ensure the probe is completely immersed in the liquid or material flow area. Avoid placing it near agitators or pipe bends to prevent vibration interference that could cause false alarms. Vertical installation yields the best results.
