Overview

Precision tension and compression load cell can withstand both tension and compression, and features excellent output symmetry, eccentric load resistance, and a compact design. SUCH tension/compression load cell is suitable for batching scales, hanging scales, and various specialized weighing equipment. Capable of measuring from 100 kg to 20 tons, it can be customized to meet customer needs. Featuring a rugged stainless-steel construction and an operating temperature range of -20°C to +65°C, it offers an accuracy of 0.05% F.S. and a sensitivity of 2.0±0.1mV/V, ensuring easy and reliable installation.

After purchasing one SUCH load cell, you can buy a special digital panel meter to obtain readings directly, or buy a transmitter to output standard signal to PLC, DCS and other systems. Customized output signal is 0-5V, 0-10V, or 4-20mA.

Note: The load cell cannot be connected to both the transmitter and the controller at the same time — only one can be selected.

FAQ

Measure the resistance at the input and output terminals and compare with the rated values. Common load cells have two ranges: low resistance (input 400Ω±20Ω, output 350Ω±5Ω) and high resistance (input 800Ω±20Ω, output 700Ω±5Ω). If the values deviate significantly, the load cell may be faulty.

Load cells typically use a strain gauge principle. When the sensor is subjected to a force and experiences a slight deformation, the resistance of the strain gauge changes. This change is converted into a measurable voltage signal via a Wheatstone bridge circuit, thereby obtaining the corresponding weight or force value.

Common applications include batching scales, crane scales, automotive assembly, automation equipment, medical testing, industrial inspection, and materials testing machines.
