    Overview

    Buy an S type load cell capable of withstanding both tension and compression. Tension and compression load cell sensors are available in capacities ranging from 5kg, 50kg, 300kg, 1000kg, and 3 to 20 tons, with a sensitivity of 2.0 ± 0.1mV/V and a zero-point output of ±1%F.S. SUCH S type load cell for tension/compression offers symmetrical output, high accuracy, and a compact design. The load sensor can be used for measuring and controlling various forces in batching scales, electromechanical scales, crane scales, and other applications.

    After purchasing one SUCH load cell, you can buy a special digital panel meter to obtain readings directly, or buy a transmitter to output standard signal to PLC, DCS and other systems. Customized output signal is 0-5V, 0-10V, or 4-20mA.

    Note: The load cell cannot be connected to both the transmitter and the controller at the same time — only one can be selected.

    An S type load cell sensor works by converting the applied tensile or compressive force into an electrical signal. Strain gauges attached to the load cell deform under force, changing their resistance, which is then converted to a voltage signal proportional to the applied load.

    Mount the S type load cell by securing it between two surfaces so that the load is applied along the designated tension or compression axis. Ensure it is properly aligned and bolted according to specifications to avoid measurement errors.

    You can check an S-type load cell by connecting it to a load cell amplifier or digital indicator and applying known loads. Observe the output signal for accuracy and linearity.
