    1. The pins of the flammable gas sensor must be connected through the PCB socket. Soldering will damage the sensor, and bending the pins is prohibited.
    2. The working electrode and reference electrode should be short-circuited during storage.
    3. The sensor should be kept away from organic solvents, alcohol, paint, oil, and high-concentration gases, as well as silicone and other adhesives.
Positive-output electrochemical sensors (such as CO, H2S, SO2, and NH3) require oxygen for their reaction and should be calibrated and tested using standard gas with air as the background gas. Failure to do so will impair sensor performance.
    4. LEL gas sensors should not be used long-term in environments containing corrosive gases, as these gases can damage the sensor.
    5. Calibration with a target gas is recommended. Cross-sensitivity will vary by +30%. Calibration and measurement accuracy are not guaranteed if cross-sensitivity gases are used for calibration.

    FAQ

A catalytic combustion gas sensor consists of a detection element and a compensation element. Each element is a platinum wire coil encased in an inert material. Catalytically combustible gas reacts with the catalyst in the working element, causing the resistance of the detection element to increase, resulting in a change in the output voltage of the bridge circuit. This change is linearly proportional to the concentration of the combustible gas. Combustible gas does not undergo a catalytic combustion reaction in the compensation element, so the resistance does not change. The compensation element primarily serves as a reference element and compensates for ambient temperature and humidity.

A LEL gas sensor is a sensor specifically designed to detect the concentration of flammable gases in the air. Commonly detected gases include methane, propane, and hydrogen. When the gas concentration reaches a set threshold, the sensor outputs a signal, which can be used to alarm or disconnect the power supply to prevent the risk of fire or explosion. It is commonly used in gas pipelines, petrochemical plants, coal mines, and kitchens, making it an indispensable monitoring device for industrial and civil safety.

Flammable sensors are widely used in industrial safety and environmental protection. LEL sensors are used for leak detection in petrochemical plants, coal mines, and natural gas pipelines to ensure worker safety. In residential buildings, commercial kitchens, and underground garages, sensors can monitor gas concentrations in real time and trigger alarms to prevent accidents. Some portable detectors also have built-in flammable gas sensors, providing emergency response and personal protection. They can be used for both fixed monitoring and mobile detection.
