This robust ultrasonic tank level sensor operates on 24âŻV DC (20â30âŻV DC) with â¤200âŻmA, delivering accurate nonâcontact liquid level sensing over 50â500âŻmm with 1âŻmm resolution and 8âŻkHz switching frequency, plus selectable NO/NC output. A: No. The rated operating voltage is 24 V DC, but the permissible supply voltage range is 20 to 30 V DC (including ripple). A 12 V supply will not allow the sensor to start up correctly or may cause unstable operation. Please ensure that the supply voltage is at least 20 V.
A: The output logic of this sensor is defined by the output level signal itself, not via a physical DIP switch:
High level = NO (normally open): When an object is detected, the output goes high.
Low level = NC (normally closed): When an object is detected, the output goes low.
You must select the desired mode through your PLC or controller logic (or by adjusting the pullâup / pullâdown resistor configuration in the wiring). There is no onâdevice switching mechanism.
A: IP65 means dustâtight and protected against water jets from any direction. This ultrasonic tank sensor can withstand splashing and hoseâdown cleaning, but it is not submersible (IP67/68 would be required for immersion). For outdoor tank installations, ensure the sensor is mounted with the transducer facing downward to allow water to drain off, and avoid directing highâpressure jets directly at the transducer face, as water film can attenuate ultrasonic signals.
