Pt100 RTD sensor probes are available in four sizes, making them suitable for a range of temperature measurement applications. The 3-wire Pt100 probes are commonly used with temperature controllers, signal isolators, and paperless recorders to build a complete temperature monitoring system.

An RTD sensor probe is a temperature sensing device that measures temperature by detecting changes in electrical resistance of a platinum element, typically Pt100 or Pt1000. It offers high accuracy, stability, and repeatability, making it suitable for industrial, laboratory, and process temperature measurement applications.
The number indicates the resistance (in ohms) at 0°C. Pt100 has 100 Ω and Pt1000 has 1000 Ω. Pt1000 offers higher sensitivity and is often preferred for applications requiring longer cable runs.
The probe should have firm contact with the measurement surface or medium. Use mounting fittings or thermal grease for better thermal conduction and stability.
