    Overview

Soil moisture and temperature sensors for precision agriculture and soil analysis are equipped with RS485 output (9-30V) and reliably measure soil moisture (0–60% VWC, ±3% accuracy), temperature (-40°C to 80°C, ±0.5°C), and salinity (0–10000 mg/L). Equipped with a high-precision probe, the sensor can monitor soil nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium (N-P-K) nutrient content (0–2000 mg/kg, ±2% full scale), pH (3–10, ±0.3 pH), and conductivity (0–20000 μS/cm, ±5%). With a moisture resolution of 0.001 and a salinity resolution of 1 mg/L, it ensures precise data collection. Users can select multiple parameters based on actual conditions.

    Feature

    Soil moisture temperature sensor feature

    • The soil moisture and temperature sensor features high measurement accuracy, fast response speed, and good interchangeability.
    • The sensor is minimally affected by soil salinity and is suitable for use in various soil types.
    • The soil moisture sensor electrodes are made of specially treated stainless steel material, capable of withstanding strong external impacts and resistant to damage.
    • The housing is fully sealed, resistant to acid and alkali corrosion, and can be buried in soil or directly submerged in water for long-term dynamic monitoring.
    • The modular design allows for flexible selection of various soil parameters based on monitoring requirements.

    Measurement Method

Soil moisture temperature sensor measurement method

    Quick Test Method

    • Select an appropriate measurement location, avoiding rocks, to ensure that the soil sensor steel needle does not come into contact with hard objects. Remove the topsoil to the required measurement depth, maintaining the original soil texture below. Hold the sensor firmly and insert it vertically into the soil. Do not shake it side to side during insertion. It is recommended to take multiple measurements within a small area of a single measurement point and calculate the average value.

    Buried Measurement Method

    • Dig a vertical pit with a diameter greater than 20 cm. At the specified depth, insert the steel needle of the multifunctional soil moisture sensor horizontally into the pit wall. Fill the pit securely, allow it to stabilize for a period of time, and then conduct continuous measurements and recordings over several days, months, or even longer periods.

    FAQ

This sensor can simultaneously measure soil moisture, temperature, conductivity, and nutrient content (including nitrogen N, phosphorus P, and potassium K). Users can achieve integrated monitoring of multiple parameters without replacing the probe, making it suitable for agricultural planting and precision fertilization management.

This portable soil moisture sensor features an IP68-rated design with corrosion-resistant metal probes, making it suitable for long-term buried installation or immersion in water-soluble fertilizer solutions. It operates reliably in temperatures ranging from -40°C to 85°C.

Yes. The 5-in-1 integrated soil sensor outputs via RS485 Modbus protocol, compatible with most agricultural data loggers, smart irrigation systems, and remote monitoring platforms, facilitating remote management and data analysis.
