The SUCH-U type photoelectric sensor supports multiple form factors, easily adapting to different equipment requirements. Powered by a wide DC 5–24V supply with dual NPN/PNP outputs, it employs a through-beam detection method to reliably identify opaque objects larger than 0.8*1.2mm. Capable of precisely detecting micro-workpieces with a 5mm slot width, it also features a red LED indicator for real-time detection status display, significantly reducing debugging time.

The U-type photoelectric sensor employs a “through-beam” structure for detection. It emits infrared light from one side of the U-shaped channel and receives the light on the opposite side. When an object passes through the channel opening and blocks the light beam, the sensor immediately outputs a trigger signal.
U-type photoelectric sensors are a type of through-beam photoelectric switch. However, their transmitter and receiver are integrated within a single housing, eliminating the need for on-site alignment of the optical axis. This significantly reduces installation complexity and commissioning time. Compared to split-type through-beam switches, U slot type photoelectric sensors offer a more compact size and higher stability.
The resolution of a U-type photoelectric sensor is determined by the slot width, beam width, and internal optical structure. Generally, it can detect fine objects ranging from 0.1mm to 0.5mm, such as thin wires, sheet edges, or label gaps.
