The SCL pin is used to select the communication mode of the sensor and serves as the clock line during I²C communication. When powered on, if SCL is held low for 500 ms or continuously remains low, it indicates that the user has selected the single-bus communication mode; otherwise, I²C communication is used. Once the communication mode is selected, it remains unchanged during the power cycle. To change the communication mode, the device must be powered off and restarted, following the required operation procedure. When I²C communication is selected, SCL is used for synchronization between the microcontroller and the Temperature & Humidity Sensor.
