    SSI (Synchronous Serial Interface) is a traditional synchronous serial communication interface. It is simple in structure, highly stable, and widely used in industrial automation equipment to transmit absolute position signals from the encoder to the controller.

    BISS-C (Bidirectional Synchronous Serial), on the other hand, is a high-speed communication protocol developed based on SSI. It supports higher data transmission rates and lower communication latency, and has bidirectional communication capabilities, allowing the transmission of diagnostic information and parameter data. Therefore, it is increasingly widely used in high-performance motion control systems.

    Magnetic absolute linear encoders are commonly used in automated equipment requiring precise position feedback, such as CNC machine tools, industrial robots, automated production lines, packaging equipment, semiconductor equipment, and precision measurement systems. Due to their strong resistance to oil, dust, and vibration, they are also suitable for harsh industrial environments, such as steel mills, heavy machinery, and outdoor equipment.

    When installing a linear encoder, first, fix the scale (magnetic grating or optical grating) to the moving part or guide rail, ensuring the mounting surface is flat and secure. Then, install the reader (sensor) on the moving part, maintaining a suitable gap between it and the scale, and ensuring both are parallel and aligned. After installation, check that the fixing screws, connecting wires, and signal output are functioning correctly, and perform a simple calibration test to ensure measurement accuracy and stable operation.
