Overview

Affordable price outdoor rain and snow sensor is suitable for various meteorological monitoring and automation control systems, supports 10~30V DC wide voltage power supply, and output modes include RS485 or relay (normally open). SUCH rain and snow sensor has a built-in intelligent heating function, automatically starts heating when the ambient temperature is below 15℃, effectively prevents rain and snow accumulation and icing, and ensures continuous and stable operation under harsh weather conditions such as cold and humid. The maximum heating temperature is set to 40℃, ensuring the heating effect while avoiding excessive energy consumption or equipment overheating.

Feature

  • Gold-Plated Process: Utilizes a gold-plated measurement element for higher sensitivity and superior oxidation resistance.
  • IP68 Protection Rating: Designed with IP68-rated protection, allowing the sensor to operate reliably in harsh outdoor environments.
  • Automatic Heating Function: Equipped with an automatic heating feature that activates in snowy, sub-zero (<0°C), or high-humidity conditions to prevent icing and condensation on the sensor surface.
  • 4-Core Cable: Adopt special four-core cable, strong anti-interference ability, stable signal transmission.
  • Waterproof Cable Outlet Design: Features a high-quality waterproof cable outlet for easy installation and long-term use.
  • Unique AC Measurement Technology: Unique AC measurement technology prevents oxidization reaction of the sensing disk and ensures long-term sensitivity.

FAQ

Yes. The sensor has an automatic heating function. When the ambient temperature is lower than 15°C, it will automatically start heating, effectively preventing snow accumulation and ice, and ensuring the normal operation of the sensor in low temperature and severe weather.

In low temperature or snowy environments, the sensing surface is easily covered with snow or ice, resulting in slow detection or misjudgment. The heating function can be automatically turned on when the temperature is lower than 15°C, heated to the set temperature (default 40°C), quickly melted the snow, evaporated the water, and ensured that the detection surface is clean and responsive.

It is recommended to install the sensor in an unobstructed and well-ventilated location. Make sure the power supply voltage is within the range of 10~30V DC and the wiring is correct and firm.
