    Overview

This analog isolator accepts potentiometer inputs (0‑500Ω to 0‑10kΩ) with selectable 2.5V or 5V excitation. It outputs 4‑20mA, 0‑20mA, 0‑5V, or 0‑10V. Current load ≤500Ω, voltage load ≥10kΩ. Accuracy 0.2% F.S., response ≤10ms, drift 0.005% F.S./°C. As an analog signal isolator, it offers 1500VAC isolation and ≥100MΩ insulation. This 4‑20mA signal conditioner has single input/output, consumes ≤50mA at 24V, operates -20-55°C. Powered by DC 24V ±10%, DIN-rail mount. Ideal for potentiometer position sensing in industrial controls.

    Feature

    • Excitation voltage: selectable 2.5V or 5V matches potentiometer sensitivities, improving measurement resolution over the 0‑500Ω to 10kΩ range.
    • Input ranges: four ranges from 0‑500Ω to 0‑10kΩ cover valve, damper, and arm position feedback in one model.
    • Response time: ≤10 ms (0‑90%, typ.) is 5× faster than typical 50 ms isolators, ideal for servo control.
    • Accuracy & drift: 0.2% F.S. accuracy with 0.005% F.S./°C drift maintains precision from -20°C to 55°C, reducing recalibration.
    • Current consumption: ≤50 mA at 24V DC supply with 20 mA output minimizes load, enabling daisy‑chaining multiple units.
    • Dielectric strength: 1500 V AC/1 min with ≥100 MΩ insulation resistance protects control systems from surges and ground loops.

    FAQ

A: Supports 0‑500Ω, 0‑1kΩ, 0‑5kΩ, and 0‑10kΩ – you select your range when ordering. The unit is factory‑set to your specified range and is not field‑programmable on this model. If you're unsure about your exact resistance, measure your potentiometer's full‑scale value first, then order the matching range.

A: 2.5V excitation: Lower power dissipation, better for sensitive or low‑power potentiometers. Generates less self‑heating, which can affect accuracy in tight spots.

5V excitation: Higher signal‑to‑noise ratio, better for long cable runs or electrically noisy environments.

Choose based on your sensor's spec sheet – if your potentiometer is rated for 5V excitation, use 5V. If it's unrated or particularly sensitive, start with 2.5V as the safer default.

A: Response time is < 10 ms (0‑90% typical) – extremely fast. This makes it perfect for valve position feedback, actuator control, and servo loops where every millisecond counts. Most competing units are 50ms or slower, so this gives you a real edge in time‑critical applications.
