Water leakage sensors are typically installed by placing the sensor probe or detection cable in areas prone to water leaks. For standalone sensors, simply place the sensor on the floor or near the equipment, then connect the power supply or install the batteries. For wired or DIN rail systems, the sensor needs to be connected to a controller, the controller mounted on a DIN rail, and the necessary power supplied.

Water leakage sensors should be placed at the lowest point where water is most likely to accumulate, such as under pipes, near water heaters, air conditioning units, water pumps, sinks, server racks, or near floor drains. The detection cable can be routed along pipes or around equipment to cover a larger area.

To reset the sensor, remove the water source, dry the sensor probe or detection cable, and then wait for the sensor to return to its normal state.
