High-quality hollow shaft photoelectric incremental encoders are available for sale. SUCH hollow shaft rotary incremental encoders offer multiple resolution options ranging from 1000 ppr to 5000 ppr, with optional shaft diameters of Φ14mm/Φ15mm/Φ19mm/Φ24mm, and compatible voltages of DC 5V or DC 8-30V. These incremental photoelectric encoders feature a unique through-shaft concentric locking device, a dual-bearing, large-diameter, ultra-thin design, and flexible spring plate mounting. Multiple electrical interfaces are available, and the protection rating is IP50.

TTL/HTL/Push-Pull/Wire-Saving Type:
A and B channels: These are quadrature signals (90°phase shift). They are used to determine rotation speed, direction, and relative position. By counting pulses, the controller calculates movement; by comparing phase difference, it determines direction.
Z channel (Index): This signal outputs one pulse per revolution. It is used for precise zero referencing or homing, helping the system establish an accurate reference position.
An open-collector output is a transistor-based output that can only pull the signal to ground (low level). It requires an external pull-up resistor to generate a high level. This type of output allows flexible voltage interfacing and is suitable for longer cable runs, but switching speed and noise immunity are generally lower than differential outputs.
