    Overview

    The small raindrop sensing rain sensor adopts a special structure design to accurately control the size of raindrops, and combines the optical sensing principle to count raindrops one by one, so as to achieve high-precision measurement of rainfall. The output signal of SUCH sensor can be RS485/pulse output, supports 5V DC or 9~30V DC wide voltage power supply, and the power consumption is less than 0.24W. Its measurement range is 0~4mm/min, and the resolution is 0.03mm. It adopts a metal shell and has IP65 protection capability. It is widely used in smart meteorology, precision agriculture, hydrological monitoring and automated environmental systems.

    Handy small rain sensor
    Picked up this small rain sensor for a weather monitoring project. I didn’t have much room left around the other sensors, so the size worked out well. I’m using the RS485 output and getting the readings into the controller was pretty easy. It’s been sitting outside for a while now, and I’ve had no issues with it during the rain.
