    Overview

The SUCH microwave presence sensor is a 5.8GHz radar-based USB presence sensor built to detect stationary human presence for automatic LED light control. Unlike PIR sensors, which rely on thermal motion and often shut off while a person remains still, it senses micro-movements such as chest breathing and small body shifts to maintain reliable occupancy detection up to 3m within a 120° sensing angle. Rated for loads up to 5A, it is suited for desks, workstations, monitor mounts, cabinets, and other compact spaces where users stay seated or stationary for long periods. The compact, plug-and-play unit features a foldable 180° / rotating 360° base, requires no wiring or drilling, and installs in seconds.

    Feature

    • 5.8GHz Microwave Radar Detection — Senses micro-movements like breathing and minor body motion, enabling accurate detection of stationary occupants and avoiding the false shut-off common with PIR motion sensors.
    • 3m Detection Range — Covers desks, cabinets, and small workspaces with consistent occupancy sensing across the full monitored area.
    • 120° Sensing Angle — Delivers wide-area coverage from a single fixed point, reducing the number of units needed per installation.
    • 5A Rated Output — Directly switches LED strips and low-voltage lighting loads without an additional relay or controller.
    • USB-Powered, Plug-and-Play Setup — Connects via standard USB power with no wiring, drilling, or additional hardware required.
    • 180° Foldable / 360° Rotating Base — Allows precise angle adjustment for mounting above screens, on shelves, or on countertops.
    • Compact, Low-Profile Housing — Small footprint fits space-limited locations such as monitor tops, cabinets, and enclosed fixtures.
    • Continuous Output During Occupancy — Keeps the connected light on for the full duration presence is detected, preventing premature shut-off during stationary tasks.

    FAQ

Yes. A USB microwave presence sensor uses 5.8GHz microwave radar technology to detect subtle movements such as breathing and minor body movements. Unlike PIR motion sensors, a microwave presence sensor can detect stationary occupants and keep LED lights on while a person remains seated or still.

A USB microwave presence sensor is suitable for indoor applications such as entryways, bedrooms, hallways, desks, workstations, and cabinets. For optimal detection performance, keep the sensor away from moving objects such as curtains, fans, air conditioners, or plants that may cause false triggering. When installing multiple sensors, keep a minimum distance of 1.5 m (4.9 ft) between units to avoid interference.

Yes. A USB microwave presence sensor supports DC 5–24V operation and can switch LED lighting loads up to 5A without requiring an external relay. It is suitable for automatic control of LED strips, desk lamps, cabinet lighting, and other low-voltage LED applications.
