Online water salinity sensor is a high-precision online water quality analysis sensor. It employs the electrode method for measurement and is suitable for applications in environmental protection and water conservancy (surface water), water supply and wastewater treatment, modern agricultural water quality management, industrial automated water quality monitoring, and marine environment and ship monitoring. SUCH salinity sensor has a measurement range of 0~70 PSU, a resolution of 0.1 PSU, and an accuracy of ±1.5% F.S. It features two-point calibration and supports RS485 output. The device can operate stably at 0~65℃ and <0.6 MPa, with power consumption as low as 0.2W@12V. The housing is made of ABS material, achieving an IP68 protection rating.
A salinity sensor measures the salt concentration in water. It is commonly used in seawater monitoring, aquaculture, environmental protection, wastewater treatment, industrial process control, and agricultural irrigation.
Most industrial salinity sensors measure in PSU (Practical Salinity Unit), but some models may also support PPT (‰) or conductivity-derived salinity.
Most sensors use electrode or conductivity measurement principles, converting water conductivity into salinity using standard algorithms.
