    Overview

The SUCH reactive power transducer converts three-phase reactive power (var) into a standard analog or digital output signal for three-phase 3-wire and three-phase 4-wire distribution systems. It accepts AC voltage inputs from 57.7V to 600V and current inputs from 1A to 20A, covering standard measuring ranges from 0~173.2var up to 0~3000var (including ± ranges), with 0.2/0.5 accuracy classes and a response time of ≤400ms. Full isolation between input, output, power supply and housing, combined with AC2kVrms compressive strength, protects connected control equipment and personnel in demanding electrical environments. It is commonly used in switchgear, power distribution panels and energy management systems for power factor correction, reactive power compensation and real-time power quality monitoring.

Note: This power transducer measures reactive power in 3-phase 3-wire or 3-phase 4-wire AC systems.

    Feature

    • Supports both 3-phase 3-wire and 3-phase 4-wire systems for different three-phase distribution and measurement configurations.
    • Measures reactive power across standard ranges from 0–173.2var to 0–3000var, with ±173.2var and ±866var options for bidirectional measurement.
    • Accepts AC voltage inputs from 57.7V to 600V and current inputs of 1A, 5A, 10A, or 20A for common three-phase electrical systems.
    • Provides Class 0.2 or 0.5 accuracy with a response time of ≤400ms for reactive power monitoring and control.
    • Offers 0–10V, 0–5V, 1–5V, 0–1mA, 0–10mA, 0–20mA, 4–20mA, and RS485 outputs for connection to PLC, DCS, SCADA, and other control systems.
    • Supports 1–4 output channels, allowing measurement signals to be used by multiple monitoring or control circuits.
    • Provides electrical isolation between input, output, power supply, and housing, with an AC 2kVrms dielectric withstand capability for industrial electrical systems.
    • Supports 12/24VDC, 110/220VAC, 110/220VDC, or 2-wire loop power and can be mounted on a 35mm DIN rail or directly inside an electrical cabinet.

    Calibration Instructions

Calibration instructions for reactive power transducer

    PWR: Power indicator
    SPAN: Full-scale calibration potentiometer
    ZERO: Zero calibration potentiometer

Note: The calibration potentiometers are intended for instrument calibration only. Adjustment by unqualified personnel is prohibited.

    Calibration Procedure

    • Zero calibration: Set the input signal to zero, then adjust the ZERO potentiometer on the front panel until the output reaches the lower scale value, such as 0V or 4mA.
    • Full-scale calibration: Apply the rated input signal, then adjust the SPAN potentiometer until the output reaches the full-scale value, such as 10V or 20mA.
