An RF admittance level switch determines the liquid level by measuring the capacitance change between the sensor electrodes and the measured medium. When the medium contacts the electrodes, the capacitance change triggers the switch to operate, thus detecting the liquid level.

RF admittance level sensors are suitable for liquids, slurries, and certain powdered solids, especially for media environments with high foam, high viscosity, or conductivity. However, dry powders and non-conductive liquids may require special models.

During installation, avoid direct contact between the sensor and container walls, agitators, or pipes to prevent malfunction. The sensor should be installed vertically, and the appropriate length and material should be selected according to the properties of the medium.
